As a .Net Software Developer you will develop applications to effectively solve business problems and take advantage of opportunities. Relying on superior coding, design, and communication skills, you will leverage existing and emerging technologies in a commercial development environment to enable the business to provide an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement critical business enterprise applications using the .NET Framework 4.5 and SQL Server technologies
- Assist in conceptualizing, designing, and documenting new architecture for existing applications and platforms
- Ensure source code meets development standards & functional specifications
- Assist in simultaneous deployment of independently developed projects
- Assist in rollout of application functionality to Test/Production environments
- Work with both traditional and Agile software lifecycle methodologies
- Create design documents as required
- Perform coding, debugging and testing in VSTS environment
- Provide backup support for production web environment
Outcomes:
- Develop a solid understanding of BuildDirect’s software and data architecture
- Lead development for projects within 3 months
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of .NET and Object Oriented programming experience, particularly in agile development environments
- Applied experience developing ASP.NET applications
- Experience with ASP.Net (Visual Basic & C#), ADO.Net, SOAP, XML/XSD, DHTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Webservice, EDI, IIS, load balancing, web farms, optimization and monitoring
- Experience with all versions of .NET frameworks (.Net 2.0+)
- Experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including testing
- High levels of integrity and a commitment to do what you say you are going to do
- An entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to learn and continuously improve
- Results oriented and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency and orientation to deadlines
- University degree in computer science
